I'd really prefer to have some way on controlling whether or not I'm at the whim of a "lol check it out i'm dying sweet dreams bitch" scenario. I don't know which other ones do that, or which releases also age in their sleep, but I hope god had mercy on the kids who had to listen to a Pendulum's swan song at uncomfortable hours of the night. However, I have also read that certain releases such as the Pendulum have the wonderful feature of automatically turning the sound back when the death tones start playing if it's off. This means that they can digivolve or die in their sleep, and honestly I'd prefer not to be woken up at 3am by a loud and disturbing chiptune flatline. I understand that the original v-pets age while they are sleeping, unlike vintage Tamagotchi releases. There's just one thing that I'm apprehensive about - the death mechanics.
I'm thinking of getting some ver.20ths when I can save up some cash (or some Pendulum 20ths whenever the hell they come out), since they look like awesome updates to the original Digimon v-pets and I haven't touched one since my latest run with my V5 when I was like seven or something nearly 15 years ago, and I'd love to try that stuff out again now that I know what the hell I'm doing and probably won't end up with Raremon after Raremon.
